We are Renée and Maaike, a married couple from Oud-Beijerland, a small town near Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Together with our English bulldogs we run this magical place in the heart of Norway.

Our love for Norway began in 2003. That was the year that we first set foot in this beautiful country. The peace, space, and breathtaking nature touched us, and a dream was born: to live and work here one day. 

Over the years, many holidays followed, but the dream never faded.

Then in 2021 we got the opportunity to take over Friisvegen Måsåplassen, the very place where our love for Norway had begun all those years ago. We didn’t hesitate. After months of preparation, planning, and letting go, the time had come to make the plunge.

Since November  2021, we have been living and working at Friisvegen Måsåplassen with great passion. We enjoy the peace and quiet, the breathtaking scenery and the outdoor life every day, and we love sharing it with our guests.

We are finally living our dream. Our advice to you? Never stop dreaming, because so many beautiful things would never come to life without dreams!
